Police Ask For Witnesses To Pedestrian Accident

GREENWICH, Conn. - An 84-year-old man who was hit by a car in downtown Greenwich remains in critical condition, police said Wednesday morning. 

Conrado Velasquez, of Greenwich, was hit while crossing Field Point Road near Brookside Drive on Monday just before 1 p.m., suffering life-threatening injuries. It is not clear if he was in the crosswalk, Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray said. 

He was hit by a 2007 Acura TSX traveling south "at a relatively slow speed," Gray said. Three people were in the car, including the driver, her husband and an employee of the couple, who was in the back seat. None of the car's passengers were hurt.
