James S. Franco was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a Class A misdemeanor.
Police received a call of a past harassment at a Yorktown residence and discovered unrelated to the complaint there was a Yorktown Justice Court Order of Protection will a full stay away, police said. Franco was arrested and transported back for processing, police said.
Franco was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on July 20.
