Greenwich Man Charged With DUI In Crash After Passengers Lose Fingers, Ear

GREENWICH, Conn. -- New York State Police arrested a Greenwich man on charges of driving under the influence and multiple counts of second-degree vehicular assault after an accident early Saturday, Nov. 16, according to Patch.com.

Jose E. Delpezo, 22, drove his Acura into a Volkswagen parked on the shoulder of I-287 in Rye, police told Patch. Delpezo's Acura flipped over, and the Volkswagen was pushed into the middle lane of the highway, police said. One passenger in Delpezo's car required partial amputation of three fingers and another passenger lost his ear, Patch.com said.
