Greenwich Firefighters Test Dry Hydrants

GREENWICH, Conn. -- This week and next week Greenwich firefighters will be out checking dry hydrants in the backcountry.

Dry hydrants provide firefighters with water from ponds, lakes and pools in areas where there are no water mains. They are a very important part of the overall fire protection in Greenwich.
