Greenwich Firefighters Extricate Driver From Car Crash

GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich firefighters extricated the driver of a car after a crash early Sunday evening on Riversville Road, the department said via Twitter.

The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. and shut down Riversville Road near North Porchuck, the Greenwich Fire Department said.

After the crash, Riversville Road was closed between Cliffdale Road and John Street during the rescue operations, the fire department said.

No further information was available on the accident.
