According to a statement from the department, the detectives lead a “large scale, multi-jurisdictional” burglary and home invasion investigation over a two-year span.

As part of their investigation, Fiscella and Perusse "conducted countless interviews, attended and hosted information sharing meetings, conducted surveillance, built case files,” and networked with other agencies in order to crack the case, according to the statement.

Authorities did not release the suspect’s identity, but said the suspect is currently under federal indictment on charges related to multiple burglaries and one home invasion robbery in Greenwich. While other communities experienced similar crimes, investigators in those jurisdictions were unable to prove the suspect was involved in those incidents, according to Greenwich police.

“The fact that the entire federal case now hinges on the work of our detectives is a true testament to their dedication and professionalism,” said the department’s statement.
