Peter Vasquez, 19, is charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and one count of first-degree larceny.

According to the police report, the garage was forcibly entered in the back and its front door was damaged. A Mercedes CL63 had all four of its tires removed but was otherwise not damaged, police said. An Infiniti had a broken front passenger-side window and one lug nut removed from each of its four rims, police said. A Mercedes E320 had been entered and a bag of loose change valued at about $25 was reported missing, police said.

Vasquez could not post his bond, which was set at $100,000. He was due in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday.

Police were investigating whether the incident was connected to a rash of similar tire thefts that have occurred in garages in Greenwich and Stamford over the last six months.

"The investigation continues and more arrests are expected," according to the police report.
