GREENWICH, Conn. — Five people were arrested after stealing a car and leading police on a chase in Greenwich last week, according to Greenwich Time.

Police were called to Cos Cob Friday on a report of a group of people breaking into cars north of Route 1, according to Greenwich Time. When they arrived, they found a stolen Mercedes-Benz speeding on Post Road, and a brief chase was broken off due to safety concerns, Greenwich Time reported. That same car was spotted a little while later Friday morning, and after going down a dead end, the people in the car got out and scattered, according to Greenwich Time.

Police arrested several suspects after sending out a large response to the area that included canines and search boats.
