Fake $100s Used At Greenwich Store, Police Say

GREENWICH, Conn. - Two Bronx men were arrested after using counterfeit $100 bills at two CVS Pharmacies in Greenwich, Lt. Kraig Gray said.

Police were looking for a suspect who used a fake bill when they spotted Emanuel Jose Rodriguez, 18, leaving the CVS store in Riverside Commons Shopping Center, the police report said. Rodriguez, who matched the suspect's description, got into a car driven by Omar N. Aviles, 21, the report said.

The investigation revealed the pair used counterfiet money at the CVS stores on the Post Road and the Riverside Commons Shopping Center, the report said.

When the car they were driving was searched, a "weapon facsimile" was found, the police report said, but provided no further details.

Both were charged with three counts of forgery, first degree, three counts of larceny, sixth degree, and three counts of conspiracy. Aviles also was charged with one count of weapon in a motor vehicle.
