Fairfield Hires Four New Police Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Four new officers, including three with experience from other departments, have joined the Fairfield Police Department in the recent months.

One new member is still in training. Here are details on the new officers: 

After working for an ambulance service as an emergency medical technician, Kate Costibile joined the Fairfield Police Department. Costabile received a bachelor’s degree in justice and law administration from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. She is currently attending the Connecticut Police Academy. She also volunteers with a victim’s advocacy agency.

Anthony Renaldi became a member of the Fairfield Police Department after having served three years as an officer with the Seymour Police Department. He was an officer with the Southbury Police Department for two years prior to that. While in Seymour he was recognized as Officer of the Year and received several other awards including three awards from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for DUI enforcement; Distinguished Service Award; CT SWAT Challenge Top Cop Award and Tactical Athlete Award. Renaldi has a bachelor’s degree in buisiness administration and information systems from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Fairfield native William Beattie joined the Fairfield Police Department after working for the Wallingford Police Department for the past two years. Beattie graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe High School and attended Post University and Sacred Heart University. 

Nicole Gerosa joined the Fairfield Police Department after working as an officer with the Guilford Police Department since 2011. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and political science and a master’s degree in criminal justice, both from Sacred Heart University. Gerosa coaches lacrosse for Staples High School in Westport as well as with the Westport Youth League and Darien Charter Club.
