Police told Greenwich Time that 35-year-old Jonathan Negron of Mohegan Lake, N.Y. crashed his Audi into a utility pole near the intersection of Riversville Road and John Street on May 25, then jumped out of his car and fled the scene. Officers responding to the area found the car, and inside located several cans of flavored beer, a bottle of vodka, blood and a tooth, Greenwich Time reported.

Negron was located later that day hiding in the nearby Audubon Preserve and taken to Greenwich Hospital, according to Greenwich Time. A blood test revealed his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, Greenwich Time reported.

Negron was taken into custody at the Westchester County Correctional Facility on Wednesday, April 5 and charged with evading responsibility, operating under the influence and following too close. He was held on a $15,000 bond and will appear in court April 19.
