Detective Named Greenwich Police Officer Of The Month For Work On Arson

GREENWICH, Conn. – Detective Christy Girard was named the April Officer of the Month in the Greenwich Police Department.

Girard was commended for her work on a lengthy investigation into a fire at a condominium complex with more than 100 residences in Cos Cob. Girard worked with Greenwich Deputy Fire Marshal Chris Moynahan and State Police Detective Makuc. The team soon classified the fire as arson.

“Detective Girard conducted a technically challenging investigation. Throughout the lengthy investigative process, Detective Girard displayed outstanding investigative expertise and tenacity in pursuit of the truth and the suspect,” said Deputy Chief Mark Marino.
