The Littlebrook Road resident told police that he returned home at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, dec. 16 after having been away for the weekend. He said he entered the garage using the keypad, and when he went to enter the home through the door from the garage, he noticed it was slightly ajar and a small drill-bit was in the keyhole of the lock, police said.

He said his girlfriend had been home, and that she had last come in the evening prior at around 11 p.m. There had been no drill-bit in the door at that time, police said. The door had not been used since, and she had been home all day and night.

Officers noted that no items had been taken, in spite of the fact that there were several expensive tools and a set of golf clubs in the garage. Officers conducted a canvass, and detectives responded to process the scene.
