Police issued a warrant to search and seize a number of computer items from the home of 19-year-old Daniel "Max" Winsten.
Following an analysis of those items, Winsten was charged with Unlawful Surveillance in the Second Degree, a Class "E" Felony, and Possessing an Obscene Performance by a Child, also a Class "E" Felony. Winsten faces up to four years in State Prison if found guilty, State police said.
Winsten was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and released on his own recognizance with certain conditions imposed by the Court. The investigation into this matter is continuing and additional charges are possible, according to State Police.
The State Police were aided in this investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, the State Police Regional Computer Crimes Unit, and the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Police Department, police officials said.
