GREENWICH, Conn. -- A 31-year-old Bethel man was arrested Monday after attempting to burglarize a home on Partridge Lane, according to Greenwich police.

A homeowner on Partridge Lane called police when Evan McManus was spotted climbing the side of the house and attempting to gain access to a second floor room, police said.

Multiple Greenwich police units were dispatched to the home. When officers arrived, McManus was discovered in the backyard after jumping off a second floor balcony, police said.

McManus was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted burglary, simple trespassing and disorderly conduct, police said.

He was held at Greenwich Police Headquarters on $75,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 23.
