Cops: Greenwich Man Charged With Threatening Woman With Knife

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A Greenwich man was arrested after threatening a woman with a knife on the Mill Street bridge after she refused to have sex with him, according to Greenwich police.

Greenwich police located the suspect, Wilson Ramos-Linares, 23, coming out of a building on North Water Street wearing a white tank top covered in blood, according to the police report.

Ramos-Linares then threw the knife in a dumpster and was ordered by officers to stop, police said. Officers chased him on foot, police said. When caught, he resisted arrest and had to be tasered by officers, police said.

According to police, Ramos-Linares initially identified himself as Henry Sanchez-Ramos, but his true identity was discovered after his fingerprints were taken.

Ramos-Linares was charged with two counts of second-degree forgery, two counts of interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct, threatening and first-degree unlawful restraint.

Immigration and customs enforcement in Chicago then contacted Greenwich police and placed a detainer on Ramos-Linares. He is scheduled to be turned over to federal custody.
