To the editor:

Gov. Dannel Malloy has broken promise after promise and stuck Connecticut families with the bill. During the 2010 campaign Democratic candidate Malloy told Connecticut families that raising their taxes was the last thing he'd do, but within his first six months in office he enacted a $2.7 billion tax increase, and it hit the middle-class the hardest - over $1,000 per year on the average family in Connecticut.

Now Malloy expects us to believe him when he promises again that he won't raise our taxes if he's re-elected. But why should we believe him this time when he broke the same promise four years ago?

Tom Foley is a problem solver who understands that raising taxes on Connecticut's middle-class only hurts our economy and costs jobs. Tom has a plan to cut taxes and help Connecticut families and he is the only choice to turn our state around.

Please join me in supporting Tom Foley and the entire Republican ticket -- including Mike Bocchino, a fiscally conservative Republican running for state representative who will work with Tom in Hartford to get Connecticut back on track and back to work.
