SHELTON, Conn. - William L. Bria Sr. of Shelton, and formerly of Greenwich, died April 2. He was 87.

Bria served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for the town of Greenwich until his retirement. He was a fourth-degree knight of the Knights of Columbus, a member of VFW post 10112 of Greenwich, a member of the RMA Men's Club of Greenwich and a member of Glenville Seniors.

Bria is survived by his wife, Hilda; children, William L Bria Jr.(Susan) of Seymour, Sandra Mowry (Richard) of Monroe, and Joanne Lockwood (Roger) of Monroe; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Monday, April 8, from 9 10:30 a.m. at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home , 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Huntington.
