Warner A. Finney, 94, Of Riverside, Retired Banker, Greenwich Trust Company

RIVERSIDE, Conn. - Warner Austin Finney of Riverside died Dec. 16. He was 94.

Finney was born to Judge W. Stanley Finney and Margaret Boswell Finney. He was a banker at the former Greenwich Trust Company. He was graduate of the Brunswick School; attended Dartmouth College and graduated from Columbia University in 1941. He served as a noncommissioned officer in the 104th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. After the war, he and his bride lived in Greenwich, and shortly thereafter became members of the First Congregational Church in Old Greenwich.

Finney is survived by a granddaughter, Laura Seweryn Markovich; and brothers, E. Dean Finney of St. Johnsbury, Vt., and Graham S. Finney of Philadelphia, Pa. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Elizabeth Ann Vance Finney; and daughter, Judith Ann Finney Seweryn.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at the First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich.
