GREENWICH, Conn. - Virginia T. McGuire, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, died April 23. She was 90.
McGuire worked at New York Telephone in Port Chester, N.Y. for 26 years, then at Greenwich Hospital as a switchboard operator until her retirement. McGuire is survived by her daughter, Sharon McGuire; brother, Bernard Maurer; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Theresa Maurer; her husband, James W. McGuire; her grandson, Charles A. Meli, Jr.; brother, Rodney Maurer; and a baby girl, Patricia, her first child.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 27, at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church 95 Henry St., Greenwich followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich.
