Stella T. Miazga, 86, Longtime Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. - Stella T. Miazga of Greenwich died Friday, Oct. 25. She was 86.

Miazga was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Port Chester, daughter of Marcin and Magdalena (Smialek) Miazga. A long time resident of Greenwich, she was a member of 1st United Methodist Church. Raised in Port Chester, she attended Port Chester Public Schools. She worked for Arnolds Bakery for over 30 years as well as Unilever in various administrative positions.

Miazga is survived by her niece, Judith Curtin (Tom) of Port Chester; nephew, Robert Miazga (Kathy) of Danbury; and three grand nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Natalie; and brothers, Andrew, Michael, Joseph and Kenneth.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Columbarium, at the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. A Funeral service will follow at the First United Methodist Church, 61 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich, after which the family will receive friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent the American Cancer Society, Constellation Home Health or Adopt-a-Dog.
