GREENWICH, Conn. - Stanley Hallas of Greenwich died Oct. 28. He was 92.
Hallas was born March 18, 1922, to Joseph and Regina Hallas, in Greenwich. He was a lifelong resident of Greenwich. He was a member of the Greenwich Boys Club. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served in the Mediterranean Theater aboard the SC 525. He was an assembler for the Electrolux Corporation for over 40 years.
Hallas is survived by his wife, Ethel; son, Joseph (Linda Ann); daughter, RuthAnn; a grandson; and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Sophie Shusdock; and brothers Joseph and George.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich. Interment will be private.
