GREENWICH, Conn. - Rosemary C. Preis of Greenwich, New Fairfield, and recently of Stamford, died Oct. 24. She was 90.
Preis was born in New York, to Joseph and Elizabeth Drucker. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Wisdom Academy in Ozone Park. She graduated from St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing (NYC) as a registered nurse and went on to be a stewardess for Eastern Airlines. She was a member of Innis Arden Golf Club.
Preis is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Larry) Driever of Ridgewood, N.J., David Preis (Carol) of Stewart Manor, N.Y., Deborah (Tom) Barton of Dallas, Texas, Mary Lou (Tom) Shippee of Wethersfield and Roberta (Karl) Anderson of Riverside; sister, Ruth Drucker of Forest Hills, N.Y.; and 15 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; and brother, Dr. John Drucker.
Calling hours are Oct. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Oct. 28 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in memory of Rosemary Preis.
