GREENWICH, Conn. - Philip Pompeii Nigro of Greenwich died Friday, April 19. He was 78.
Nigro was born March 13, 1935, to Michele and Lucia Nigro. He was a member of the Order of the Sons of Italy.
Nigro is survived by his wife, Celeste; daughters, Marisa Nigro and Paula Tobin (Brian); a son, Michael Nigro (Jacqueline); five grandchildren; a brother, Pasquale Nigro; nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents; and two grandchildren, Catherine Nigro and Alexander Nigro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Parish on Greenwich Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Nigro’s name to St. Mary Church, 178 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, CT 06830.
