Minnie Anna Belina, 91, Graduated From Greenwich High

ITHACA, N.Y. - Minnie Anna Belina of Ithaca, formerly of Norwalk, died Monday, Dec. 30. She was 91.

Belina was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Greenwich, Conn., to Carmine and Elizabeth Servidio D’Amore.

She was a graduate of Greenwich High School, and worked at times as a secretary at Norwalk Hospital, Pulaski Oil Co. and MBI Corp. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Greenwich, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Norwalk and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ithaca. She left Norwalk in 2005 and joined her son John in Ithaca, where she participated in many events at Cornell University.

Belina is survived by her sons, John of Ithaca, Robert of Poughquag and Mark of Richford; two nieces and two nephews; and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Chester S. Belina; and brothers, Joseph, Louis, Orlando (Vet), Wish, and Dominic. Calling hours are Saturday, Jan. 4, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at St. Thomas Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
