GREENWICH, Conn. - Mary Taracka of Greenwich died April 17. She was 84.
Taracka was born July 22, 1928, to Joseph and Rose Taracka. After graduating from Greenwich High School in 1946, she began working as an assistant animator at Terry Tunes, the animation studio that produced the Mighty Mouse and Heckle and Jeckle cartoons, among many, many others. She worked there for 37 years.
Taracka is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Taracka; a nephew, Richard Taracka; a niece, Barbara Plank (Gary); two grand nieces; and two grand nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
There are no visitation hours. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 23 at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, N.Y. at 10 a.m.
