GREENWICH, Conn. - Mary Elizabeth Whamond "Googie" Ciccone of Greenwich died Nov. 7. She was 71.
Ciccone was born June 22, 1942, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to William and Elizabeth Whamond. She graduated from the Academy of the Resurrection in Rye and attended Salve Regina College. After marriage she lived with her husband in Port Chester before relocating to Greenwich in 2003.
Ciccone is survived by her husband, Peter; children, Peter F. Ciccone (Neala) of Astoria, N.Y., and Susanna E. McKenna of Falmouth, Mass.; brother, William E. Whamond of Duck, N.C.; sisters, Rosemary McClane of Hamburg, N.J., and Christine W. Anderson of Weston; step-brother, D. Barry Boyd, MD of Greenwich; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, James D. Whamond.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, N.Y. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10 at Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY from 4 to 8 p.m..
