GREENWICH, Conn. - Margareta Unger of Greenwich died Friday, Dec. 12. She was 87.
Unger was born Dec. 18, 1927, in Stockholm, Sweden, to Karl Gustav and Viola Hellberg. She lived in Greenwich for nearly 50 years. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and worked for several of Greenwich's local retailers including Janet Sloane and D.W Rodgers.
Unger is survived by her daughters, Birgitta Unger and Anna Unger Frano; two grandsons; sister, Karin Lovén of Stockholm, Sweden; and two nephews, a niece; and three great nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Berndt Unger.
Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
Arrangements are being handled by Leo P. Gallagher and Sons.
