Loretta Sullivan, 96, Lifelong Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. – Loretta A. Sullivan, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died Jan. 12 at her home. She was 96.

Born April 5, 1916, in Greenwich, she was the daughter of Cornelius and Margaret Monaghan Sullivan. She graduated from Greenwich High School and Merchant & Bankers Business School.

Sullivan worked as an administrator at Homelite and later for the town of Greenwich on the probate court. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church and active in the Ladies Guild.

She is survived by a sister, Cathleen C. Mead; eight nieces and nephews; and her friend and caregiver, Olivia Rock. Sullivan was predeceased by a brother, Cornelius Sullivan; and a sister, Eileen Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Jan. 18 at St. Mary's Church in Greenwich. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of services at Fred D. Knapp and Son Funeral Home in Greenwich.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church or a favorite charity.
