Linda Nutt Northrop, 60, Of Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. - Linda Nutt Northrop of Greenwich died Sunday, Oct. 13. She was 60.

Northrop was born May 20, 1953, daughter of Margaret (Migs) Morris Nutt of Haverford, Pa., and  James N. Nutt, Jr. She grew up in Wallingford, Pa. She graduated from The Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont, Pa., and Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va. She worked as a paralegal and later as director of the Paralegal Program at Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz in Philadelphia and at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City. She was a volunteer at the Greenwich Country Day School, Greenwich Academy, Brunswick School, and Meals on Wheels of Greenwich. She was a member of the Junior League and The Greenwich Garden Club.

Northrop is survived by her mother, Linda; husband, Richard R.S. Northrop; children, Heather Danielle Northrop, Virginia (Ginger) Morris Northrop, and Kent Johnston Northrop; siblings, James N. Nutt III, M.D. of Blue Bell, Pa., and Nancy Nutt Schiffer, of West Chester, Pa.; nephews; and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, James.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at Christ Church in Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Greenwich Country Day School, 401 Old Church Road, Greenwich, CT, 06830, where a memorial fund is being established in her name. GCDS was a community she cherished as a parent for 15 years.
