Linda B. Tiska, Of Stamford, And Formerly Of Old Greenwich

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Linda B. Tiska, of Stamford and Port Charlotte, Fla., died June 2, 2015, with her loving family by her side.

She was born Aug. 7, 1951, to Ann and Cliff Biggs.

Tiska is survived by her husband, Jim Fahey, and her children Tammy (Erich) Herbert of Milford, N.H., Matthew (Christina) Tiska of Monroe, and Erin (Gregg) Tiska-Kirkman of Norwalk; her three  brothers, Christopher, Timothy and William Biggs, along with seven grandchildren, William, Brendan, Isabelle, Jack, Nicholas, Zachary and Samantha.

Tiska was predeceased by Chester Buttery, Bill Buttery, Willie Tiska and Debbie Tiska.

Tiska was a longtime resident of Old Greenwich and was a graduate of Greenwich High School's Class of 1969.

She worked as a personal assistant and bookkeeper, but found her calling as an administrative assistant at both First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich and St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford.

Tiska was very active in the church community as a member of the St. John's Lutheran church choir, WELCA committee and outreach giving committee. She also was involved in the Stamford Chorale and Angel Choir of Greenwich.

Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien.

A service celebrating Tiska's life will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. John's Lutheran Church - Festival Music Fund, 884 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905.
