GREENWICH, Conn. - Laurence J. Crowe of Greenwich died July 22. He was 89.
Crowe was born in 1924, in Drumlish, County Longford, Ireland, to Theresa (Dunleavy) and John Crowe. He immigrated to America at the age of 22 and was an employee of Partridge and Rockwell for over 40 years.
Crowe is survived by his wife, Catherine (Connell) Crowe; son, John (Jill) (Rainone Northcutt) Crowe; daughters, Mary Ellen Crowe Bortot (Paul), and Cathy Crowe Kenny; three grandsons; five step grandchildren; sister, Mary Crowe Kenny; brothers, Thomas, Michael (Betty), and Edward (Kathleen); and numerous nieces and nephews, of Ireland and England. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, John of England, Patrick and Theresa; and sister-in law, Rita, of Ireland.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25 at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Greenwich. A Christian burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich.
