John Manuli, 62, Of Greenwich, Auto Mechanic

GREENWICH, Conn. – John Manuli, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, lost his battle with cancer Feb. 4 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. He was 62.

Born Nov. 27, 1950, Manuli attended Greenwich schools and worked as a mechanic at Seymour Chevrolet and Michael Chevrolet in Greenwich for many years. He was also employed by the Town of Greenwich for 14 years.

He married Kathleen Briotte on Oct. 22, 2012, after a 41-year partnership. An avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed attending races with family and collecting memorabilia.

Survivors, in addition to her wife, are a sister, Carmela Billingham, of Bethel; two brothers, Thomas Manuli, of Greenwich, and Philip Manuli Jr. and his fiancé, Maria Sanzo, of Mamaroneck, N.Y;. four paternal siblings, Patricia Zacchi, and her partner, Erik Caraballo, Richard Manuli, Elizabeth Manuli and Carol (Ralph) Montagnese; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Emilia Marie Manuli; a paternal brother, Carmelo Manuli; and a nephew, Timothy Billingham.

Services were held Wednesday at Castiglione Funeral Home.
