John Boskello, 72, Former Greenwich Administrator

GREENWICH, Conn. – John F. Boskello, formerly of Greenwich, died Jan. 19 at Milford Hospital in Milford, Conn. He was 72.

Born June 16, 1940, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was the son of William and Elvira Passarelli Boskello. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Bridgeport and completed a nursing home administrator's license.

Boskello retired after 20 years as assistant administrator at Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Center in Greenwich. He then worked part-time doing accounting and financial work for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Riverside.

His interests included reading, writing, music and computers. He was married to Kathryn McArdle-Boskello and most recently was a resident of Milford.

Boskello is survived by his wife; a daughter, Bridget McCarthy; a son, Douglas Boskello; a sister, Mary Doppke; and 10 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church in Milford. Burial will be private. Cody-White Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
