Jacques A. Jimenez, 75, Teacher At Mead School In Greenwich

STAMFORD, Conn. - Jacques A. Jimenez of Stamford died Aug. 25. He was 75.

Jimenez was born Sept. 10, 1938, in San Francisco, Calif., to Jean Jacques and Marie Jimenez. He graduated in 1956 from Bellarmine, a Jesuit high school in San Jose. He attended St. Joseph's Junior Seminary and then St Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park. In 1964, he was ordained a catholic priest by the San Francisco Archdiocese. He served as a parish priest and taught at Juniperro Serra High School in San Mateo. He studied at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. He earned an Ed.D. with his dissertation on the creating of metaphor and the role of metaphorical thought processes in teaching and learning. He taught at Middlebury College in Vermont,, at The Mead School in Greenwich and worked at Communispond in NYC before going into business for himself. His second company, Communication Patterns Inc. was founded with Tim Johnson. A resident of Stamford for 34 years, he and his wife, Polly had very recently moved to Baltimore, Md., to be near their grandchildren.

JImenez is survived by his wife, Polly; daughters, Jessica (Mani) Dravida of Baltimore, Md., Angela Harness-Jimenez (spouse, Ashley) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and a nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Rick; and nephew, Ross Jimenez of Santa Rosa, Calif.

A Memorial Service will held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at St. Paul's On-The-Green, 60 East Ave., Norwalk CT 06851, with a reception to follow at the church.
