Jacqueline Nevins, 91, Teacher, Convent Of The Sacred Heart In Greenwich

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Jacqueline Nevins of White Plains, formerly of Yonkers and Valhalla, died Sept. 9. She was 91.

Nevins was born in Chateauroux, France, to Solange and Michel Guillemont. She came to the United States in 1946, and lived with her family in Yonkers, Valhalla, and finally, White Plains. She was a nurse at Yonkers General Hospital, and later, a French teacher at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, and the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich.

Nevins is survived by her children, Christopher and Eileen Nevins of Hampton, N.H., Lawrence Nevins of White Plains and Jerome and Debbie Nevins of Redding, Conn.; five grandsons; five great grandsons; twin sister, Nicole Jaudon, of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews in France. She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard J. Nevins.

Calling hours from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Hawthorne. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at St. Bernard's Church, White Plains.
