Nicholl was born in 1919, in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., to Robert Lansing Wilson and Grace Evelyn Holmes Wilson of Stamford. A graduate of Stamford High School, she went on to complete her secretarial degree. She was employed in insurance in the 40's and later with the Innis Arden Golf Club.
She was a lifelong resident of the Greenwich/Stamford area and was active with Greenwich Hospital Volunteers and a member of the Riverside Yacht Club for 53 years where she was recognized as Lady of the Year in 1966.
Nicholl is survived by her daughter, the Honorable, Gaylyn N. Boone (James R. Dorcy) of San Diego; son, Dr. Jeffrey S. Nicholl (Katherine Mattes) of New Orleans; a granddaughter; seven step-grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Robert Lansing Wilson Jr.; and her former husband, Dr. Robert G. Nicholl.
A Celebration of Life will be held in October and her ashes will be buried at Long Ridge Union Cemetery in Stamford.
