Helen Foley Hawkins, 89, Of Greenwich, Volunteer At Greenwich Hospital

GREENWICH, Conn. - Helen Foley Hawkins of Greenwich died June 6. She was 89.

Hawkins grew up in the town of Leonia, N.J., but lived in Greenwich for more than 50 years. She volunteered at the Greenwich Hospital for more than 30 years, and participated in community service.

Hawkins is survived by her brother, John James Foley; children, Katherine Hawkins, Howard R. Hawkins, Jr., Rosemary Hawkins and Suzanne Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Linda Whitmarsh; son-in-law, Paul Chrzanowski; two grandchildren; a granddaughter-in-law; two grandsons; a great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard R. Hawkins.

Calling hours are June 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., in Greenwich and the funeral will be held at St. Michael's Church, 469 North St., Greenwich June 15 at 10 a.m.
