Gary Munnelly, 55, Greenwich Native

GREENWICH, Conn. – Gary Patrick Munnelly, a former Greenwich resident, died suddenly on July 10 at his home in Ansonia, Conn. He was 55. 

The son of Jack and Mary Munnelly, he was born in Greenwich. Munnelly graduated from St. Mary's High School in Greenwich and worked at Spec Plating Inc. in Bridgeport for 20 years. 

Developing a love for music at an early age, Munnelly was also a musician, singer and songwriter. 

He is survived by his fiancée, Wendy Waring; three brothers, John Munnelly, of Greenwich, Michael Brendan (Susan) Munnelly, of Stamford and Thomas (Leslie) Munnelly, of Nantucket, Mass.; two sisters, Maureen (Tony) Pastore, of Greenwich and Nancy Gillin, of Weston; four nieces and two nephews. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of St. Catherine's Church in Riverside. Burial will be private.
