"I loved you endlessly til the end of time. We experienced life together ... The ups, the downs, the good, the bad, the for better or for worse and now til the death do us part," his wife, Kimone Waite, said in a Facebook post. "You worked and perfected your craft endlessly day and night. We argued about late nights in the barbershop but I knew you would make it to bigger and greater things. I saw greatness in you. An amazing father, son and husband."
In addition to his wife, Rodney is survived by his 8-year-old daughter and his mother.
Co-workers of his wife set up a GoFundMe campaign to assist with the funeral costs. Any funds remaining after the funeral costs will be placed into a trust fund for his daughter.
Nearly $10,000 of the $30,000 goal had been raised as of late Thursday.
No arrests have been made in the case.
