GREENWICH, Conn. - Frank Velez of Greenwich died Saturday, July 13. He was 79.
Velez was born in New York City in 1934, son of Amado and Ida Velez. He lived in Greenwich for four decades on Pemberwick Road.
Velez is survived by his wife, Eufemia Velez; sons, James (Melissa) Velez and Jeff (Janel Apuna); six grandchildren; sister, Linda Rodriguez of New York City; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Amado Jr., Robert, and Gerald Velez.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave., Greenwich. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19 at Sacred Heart Church to commemorate Velez's life and legacy.
