GREENWICH, Conn. - Frances Nora Hyland of Greenwich died Aug. 22. She was 86.
Hyland was born Oct. 10, 1926, in Cos Cob on Oct. 10, 1926 to Frederick and Mary Forte. She was a lifelong resident of Greenwich and a graduate of Greenwich High School.
Hyland is survived by her daughter, Sheila Hyland of Greenwich; former son-in-law, John Blute; and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Joseph Hyland Jr.; daughter, Sharon Blute; and siblings, Frank Forte, Mary Poulsen, and Fred Forte.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., in Riverside followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Hyland’s life after the services at her home in Cos Cob.
