GREENWICH, Conn. - Eleanor Ingrid Olsen of Greenwich died Saturday, Sept. 28. She was 66.
Olsen was born Jan. 14, 1947, in Greenwich, to William Torp Olsen and Helen Comnes Olsen. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1964. She then went on to the New York Foundling Hospital and graduated with a degree in infant care in 1965. She also attended J.M. Wright Tech School and was certified as an LPN in 1975. She worked for many years at Greenwich Hospital as a nurse in many different departments. She worked part time at Manero’s.
Olsen is survived by her siblings, John (Janeen) of Clinton, Thomas of Ridgefield, Alma (Steven) Smith of Port Chester, N.Y., Marie (David) Micik of Greenwich; sister-in-law, Rose Olsen of Cos Cob; brother-in-law, Perry Greene of Greenwich; and eight nieces and nephews; and five grand nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Patricia Greene.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Olsen's name may be made to St. Catherine's Church, Greenwich Chaplaincy Services 70 Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT 06830 and Pathways Inc., 175 Milbank Avenue, Greenwich CT 06830.
