David A. Curcio, 92, Postal Service Employee, Owned Donna’s Delicatessen

GREENWICH, Conn. - David A. Curcio of Greenwich died July 4. He was 92.

Curcio was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Greenwich; son of Luigi and Carmella Siciliano Curcio of Cos Cob. He graduated from Greenwich High School and Wright Technical School.

Curcio was a World War II veteran and served duty as a sergeant platoon leader in D-Day and the Battle of Saint Lo; he was a Purple Heart Recipient. He spent 42 years with the United States Postal Service in Greenwich and he and his wife owned and operated Donna's Delicatessen for 15 years.

Curcio is survived by daughters, Carmie Budkins (John), Donna Horton (Peter) both of Greenwich; sister, Yolanda Moccia of Stamford; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Angelina Braccio Curcio; sister, Theresa Powell; and brother Anthony (Andy) Curcio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  Monday, July 8 at St. Roch Church. Interment will follow the service in St. Mary Cemetery in Greenwich.
