David Campbell Ross, 96, Of Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. – David Campbell Ross, of Greenwich and formerly of Tucson, Ariz., died on Tuesday, May 24. He was 96.

Ross was born in Columbia, Mo., to Pontus Henry and Bertha Campbell Ross. 

He served in the Navy during World War II and earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona after his service.

He retired from General Electric as an international technology licensing specialist.

Ross was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by three daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Wormuth and her husband Gus of Larchmont, N.Y., Montine Ross and her husband Albert Reis of Portsmouth, R.I., and Claudia Ross Beinstein of Fairfield, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Unitarian Church, located at 10 Lyons Plains Road in Westport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warrior Project.
