Dan Jacobs, 58, Of Greenwich, Former Editor, Greenwich Time

THE VILLAGES, Fla. - Dan Jacobs, of The Villages and Stratford, Conn., died Saturday, August 3. He was 58.

Jacobs grew up in Franklin Square, N.Y., and was an alumnus of SUNY Stony Brook and spent most of his adult life in Fairfield County, before retiring to The Villages. He was an editor at the Greenwich Time newspaper for eight years and later founded Jacobs & Prosek Public Relations in Stratford, which he ran for 15 years. He was a member of the Stratford Charter Revision Committee, the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, and the Stratford Chamber of Commerce.

Dan is survived by his four children: Matthew Jacobs, Sarah Hill, Amanda Jacobs, and Rachel Jacobs; and his two grandchildren Taylan and Tanner. Dan was predeceased by his mother Harriett Zucker and younger brother Ari Jacobs.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 in Fairfield at 58 Stirrup Hill Road . More information about memorial arrangements can be found at
