Dagmar Q. Matthews, 75, Of Greenwich, Owned Travel Business

GREENWICH, Conn. - Dagmar Q. Matthews, of Greenwich, died March 11. She was 75.

Matthews was born in Breslau, Germany (now in Poland), May 5, 1937, daughter of Georg Queis and Baroness Sylvia von Tornow. She came to the U.S in 1963 with her first husband Dieter Baeu and became a permanent legal resident. In 1974, she opened Travel Systems, Inc. in Greenwich. She successfully ran TSI, Inc. until 1998 when she merged with Edgewood Travel and worked there until her diagnosis in Feb. 2013.

Matthews is survived by her sister Edda von Murait. She was predeceased by her parents; second husband, F. Scott Matthews.

A service celebrating her life will be held Sunday, May 5, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1 West Putnam Ave., Greenwich, Conn.
