Rossetti was born in Manchester, England, and immigrated with her parents, James and Alice Ann Pollard, to the United States in 1921. She worked for Yankee Metal Products for many years and retired when the factory closed. After her retirement, in the early 1990s, while a resident of The Mews (an assisted living facility in central Greenwich), she worked as the receptionist, volunteered as the fire warden, the evening door-locker, the first floor "handyman" and served on various committees.
Rossetti is survived by her children, Alice Vadala of Stratford, James Rossetti, Jr. (Cindy), of Newtown, John Rossetti, Sr. of Norwalk; brother, George Pollard (Mary), of Stewart, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Rossetti, Sr.; her parents; sisters, Edith Pascarelli and Dorothy Hanley; brothers, Fred Pollard and Robert Pollard; daughter, Catherine Berger; grandson, Anthony Vadala III ("Little Nino"); and son-in-law, Anthony Vadala, Jr.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 8, from 10:30 a.m. until funeral services begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Norwalk.
