Barbara Jean deGeofroy, 68, Of Greenwich, Private Duty Nurse

GREENWICH, Conn. - Barbara Jean (O'Connor) deGeofroy, lifelong Greenwich resident, died Oct. 5. She was 68.

deGeofroy was born Feb. 14, 1945, to William and Jeanette O'Connor of Cos Cob. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1963. She worked at the Greenwich Library, General Dynamics and Clairol/Bristol Myers. She worked as a private duty nurse in Greenwich for over 25 years, and she volunteered with Adopt-A-Dog. deGeofroy is survived by her son, Hugh Connelly (Lynn) of Stamford; daughter, Jean Maguire and her fiancé, Phillip Gregory, of Gloucester, Mass.; daughter, Cassie (deGeofroy); Blaine (Billy) of White Plains, N.Y.; and three grandsons. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Michel deGeofroy of Greenwich.

Calling hours are Thursday, Oct. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch St., Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside.
