GREENWICH, Conn. - Barbara Hogan Fisher of Greenwich died Saturday, Aug. 10. She was 93.
Fisher was born in 1920, to Mr. and Mrs. William Anthony Hogan of Brooklyn, N.Y. In the late '20's they moved to Greenwich and built a home in Belle Haven. After Noroton Convent, she graduated from Rosemary Hall in Greenwich and Manhattanville in New York.
She worked as copy editor at the auction house Parke-Bernet. She was a member of the Indian Harbor Yacht Club in 1946. She was a member of St. Michael's parish in Greenwich. As a eucharistic minister she served communion to patients at Greenwich Hospital and Nathaniel Witherell. She was a longtime member of the Greenwich Garden Club and Greenwich Field Club and was involved with the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford.
Fisher is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice (David) of Wilton, Carolyn (Robert) Burgess of Terrebonne, Oregon; son, Chris (Emily) of Greenwich; five grandchildren; and siblings, Jackie, Donald, Nancy, and Tony. Burial will be private and a Memorial Mass at St. Michael's will be announced for a date later in September.
